Dante Lee is the 27-year old president and CEO of Diversity City Media, an African American marketing and public relations firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in the year 2000, this award-winning company helps corporations and organizations reach African American consumers through online advertising and unique PR strategies.
Highly regarded in the industry, Diversity City Media produces several online properties including BlackNews.com, BlackStudents.com, BlackPR.com, BlackExperts.com, and BlackSpeakers.com. The company has annual billings of more than $500,000, and their long-time clients include Nationwide Insurance, Choice Hotels, McDonald's, BET, NASCAR, Verizon, TV One, and many others.
Lee is also co-founder of Lee Moss Media, a joint venture with his long-time business partner William Moss of Moss Interactive. This media powerhouse produces a series of social networks including HBCUconnect.com, BlackWomenConnect.com, BlackInAmerica.com, BlackAuthorsConnect.com, BlackCEOs.com, and others. Collectively, their sites attract over 2 million African American visitors each month.
Lee serves as a motivational speaker and diversity consultant. He has addressed several groups including the African American Business Summit (AABS), the Tavis Smiley Leadership Institute, the National Association of Black Telecommunications Professionals (NABTP), and the Booker T. Washington Economic Development Summit.
Lee has been recognized by MSNBC, CNN, Fox News and scores of newspapers and magazines. Ebony Magazine named him one of the "Top 30 Young Leaders For 2006". Black Enterprise Magazine nominated him for the 2006 Small Business of the Year Award, and highlighted his company in three different back-to-back issues.
Lee was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. He graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, and was the only person in the institution's 100-year history to graduate from a 4-year program, in three years.
