As a member of the Security team, you will also carry out cross-function duties including drafting standards, doing incident response, conducting investigations, scanning for vulnerabilities, representing team interests on committees, and consulting in all areas of security. The opportunities to learn all domains of information security and for growth are numerous.
Previous cyber security experience, while advantageous, is not a requirement for this role. Ideally, you will have broad information technology knowledge, be highly motivated, and an exceptional teammate. And if you have software development skills, previous experience with AWS, and have a portfolio of IT project successes, you are exactly who we want to interview.
Information Security offers many development and training opportunities, including new certifications, allowing staff to keep up-to-date on new technologies, and for the professional development of team members. In addition, the architect role often has the opportunity to collaborate outside the IT organization and to interact with the general campus community for security awareness and outreach efforts.
