Machinist

Machinist
Position is in Torrance, California
Responsibilities:
* Fabricate precision RF microwave components and perform operations from work orders, drawings and or sketch, utilizing CNC, conventional Lathe and Mill.
* Manufacture parts and components required by Work Order.
* Work with close tolerances.
* The finished pieces will be checked for workmanship and compliance to drawing requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Fabricate precision RF microwave components and perform operations from work orders, drawings and or sketch utilizing CNC, conventional Lathe and Mill
• Manufacture parts and components required by Work Order
• Work with close tolerances
• Apply fundamental machining practices to produce high-quality items
• Regularly inspects and sharpens cutting tools as need arises
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Timely, professional completion of assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of, and compliance with, Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• On-going communication with Machinists and supervisors regarding projects, problems incurred, etc.
• Works during scheduled hours.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.
-> Minimum 5 years experience as a machinist
-> Vocational school, High School diploma or GED equivalent
-> Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
-> Perform own set-ups
-> Some experience with Fadals with 4-axis
-> Own and knowledgeable in inspection tools

* 2-, 3- and 4-port diplexers (x-pol, co-pol, CP, and linear), filters, triplexers, custom fabricated feed horns, flexible waveguides, monopulse tracking couplers, power combiners/splitters, and special waveguide components.
